This service includes a general reading, predictive work, counselling, planning etc. The structure of the session is based on the wishes or needs of the client, and can be anything [for instance] from an open reading to specific advice on career choice or the timing of a marriage. All topics are covered from mundane to spiritual.
A complimentary CD recording is offered, but not mandatory.
Relationship discussions are an important part of an astrologer's work and are included in a normal session. However, for in-depth work with a couple, more preparation is needed and hence there is a special 'Synastry' category as seen below.
The word Synastry means "stars together" - with 'syn' being 'together' and 'astr-' meaning 'stars.
A synastry consultation may be with one or two persons, but both members of a relationship need to give permission for this more in-depth study of their relationship.
As above, the session is one and a half hours long and a complementary CD recording is offered.
This is simply a certificate or voucher for a consultation. These make wonderful gifts and are attractively printed out and signed. If you wish to give such a gift, please ensure that the recipient is receptive to the experience of a reading.
Classes are held in a spacious modern studio in bird-filled natural gardens, close to the historic old Riverton Bridge. Courses are offered in autumn and spring terms of 15weeks each. The course material is concentrated, and students are encouraged to do further research outside class. Some basic texts are required. A certificate of completion is issued at the end of each level.
Exams are optional, and personal-interest students are welcome. Students wishing to sit for a Guild exam may do so at the end of four levels of study. The Academy uses the Astrological Guild of Educators International for both certificate and diploma level exams, although FAA candidates are welcome, and the syllabus is similar.
Students work with their own birth charts and those of close family or friends throughout the courses. Self-understanding and sensitivity are encouraged, and student privacy is respected at all times. Astrology bridges the worlds of the practical and the metaphysical, and students are encouraged to learn accuracy by constantly testing new material for validity against their charts and the charts of people whom they know well.
Level 1. The Foundations of Astrology
The language of astrology is taught in this first set of 15 lessons. The signs, planetary archetypes, houses, modalities, rulerships, aspects, elements, angles and chart patterns are covered, and delineation is demonstrated. Personal help is given with student charts.Level 2. Cycles and Predictive Astrology
This set of 15 classes starts with 3 weeks dedicated to delineation [chart interpretation] and then follows with practical work in transits, progressions, solar arc, lunar phases, solar returns and the theories of planetary cycles. Facility is gained in predictive work and identifying life's rites of passage.Level 3. Humanistic Astrology
This level offers a set of 15 lectures and workshops in psychological astrology and the astrology of health, mentality, career choice, relationships, family dynamics, mundane astrology and solar- lunar studies.Level 4. Advanced Techniques
Students will learn chart mechanics, calculations, eclipses, asteroids, - and basics of horary astrology, midpoint theory, and harmonics. The ethics and philosophy of astrology are discussed.Advanced and Special Classes
